Audi New Cars for India: Q3, A5, Q5, Q7 and Q9

Audi is preparing for an important product expansion in India, with several new and updated models planned for the market. The German luxury carmaker is looking to strengthen its position with a mix of SUVs and premium cars. Among the models attracting the most attention are the new Q3, A5, Q5, Q7 and flagship Q9. Audi India has confirmed the Q3, A5 and Q9 as part of its upcoming product strategy, while the Q5 and Q7 are also expected to receive major updates for India.

New Audi Q3

The next-generation Audi Q3 is expected to be one of the most important launches for the brand in India. The new SUV gets a completely redesigned exterior and interior, along with updated technology and a more modern cabin. The new Q3 is also around 40 mm longer than the outgoing model globally, although its wheelbase remains unchanged.

Audi is expected to position the Q3 as an entry point into its new-generation SUV range, making it important for attracting younger luxury-car buyers.

Audi A5

The new Audi A5 will replace the brand’s previous A4-style positioning and bring a more modern design and technology package. The A5 is expected to offer a premium cabin with Audi’s latest digital features and a more sophisticated design.

Audi India has confirmed the A5 as one of the three new models planned by 2027, alongside the Q3 and Q9. Importantly, these three models are planned to be locally assembled in India.

New Audi Q5

The Q5 is another important model in Audi’s SUV portfolio. The next-generation Q5 is based on a newer platform and is expected to receive updated technology, design and powertrain options.

The model will continue to sit between the Q3 and Q7 in Audi’s SUV line-up and will compete with premium SUVs from Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Volvo.

New Audi Q7

Audi is also preparing a major update for the Q7. The new-generation model features a significantly redesigned exterior and a more advanced cabin. Internationally, the Q7 is available with multiple seating configurations, including versions designed to provide a more premium second-row experience.

The India launch timeline for the new Q7 has not yet been officially confirmed.

Audi Q9

At the top of the upcoming range will be the Audi Q9, which will become the brand’s flagship SUV. It is expected to sit above the Q7 and take on rivals such as the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS. Audi has confirmed the Q9 for India, making it one of the most significant upcoming launches for the company.

With these five models, Audi is aiming to refresh key parts of its India portfolio while bringing newer technology and designs to Indian luxury-car buyers. The Q3, A5 and Q9 are particularly important as Audi targets stronger growth and aims to significantly increase its market share in India.
