Mahindra is set to reveal the much-anticipated Scorpio N Pik-Up in India on August 14, 2026. The upcoming lifestyle pickup truck is expected to share its underpinnings with the Scorpio N SUV while receiving a redesigned rear section, tougher styling and a more practical load-carrying body.
The Scorpio N Pik-Up has been spotted testing several times, giving a clear indication that Mahindra is preparing a production-ready version for the Indian market. The new model will expand Mahindra’s presence in the lifestyle pickup segment and could take on vehicles such as the Toyota Hilux.
Mahindra Scorpio N Pik-Up: What to Expect
The Scorpio N Pik-Up is expected to retain the rugged design language associated with the Scorpio N, but its rear profile will be significantly different. The SUV’s enclosed rear section will be replaced by an open cargo bed, giving the vehicle a more conventional pickup truck silhouette.
The test vehicles seen so far have featured a high ground clearance, muscular body panels and a prominent front design. Mahindra is also likely to offer a stronger-looking front bumper, roof rails, chunky wheel arches and larger alloy wheels on higher variants.
At the rear, the pickup is expected to feature vertically positioned tail lamps and a practical cargo bed. The exact dimensions and payload capacity are likely to be announced during the reveal.
Expected Engine and 4WD Setup
The Scorpio N Pik-Up is expected to use Mahindra’s existing 2.2-litre diesel engine, which currently powers several variants of the Scorpio N. The engine could be offered with both manual and automatic gearbox options, although Mahindra is yet to confirm the final specifications.
A four-wheel-drive system is also expected to be an important part of the pickup’s package. If offered, it would make the Scorpio N Pik-Up more capable on rough terrain and position it as a direct rival to established lifestyle pickups.
Mahindra could also make changes to the suspension and chassis to handle the additional requirements of a pickup body and cargo load. More details about these mechanical changes should emerge closer to the reveal.
Interior and Features
Inside, the Scorpio N Pik-Up is expected to share much of its cabin technology with the SUV. The dashboard layout could remain largely familiar, while Mahindra may introduce minor design changes to differentiate the pickup.
Features such as a large touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, connected-car technology, automatic climate control, wireless smartphone connectivity and a premium audio system could be available depending on the variant.
Safety equipment is also expected to include multiple airbags, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD and other driver-assistance features.
August 14 Reveal to Bring More Details
The August 14 reveal should provide clarity on the Scorpio N Pik-Up’s design, engine specifications, drivetrain and India launch plans. Pricing and variant details, however, could be announced at a later date.
With the lifestyle pickup market gaining attention in India, the Scorpio N Pik-Up could become an important new product for Mahindra.
