VinFast has revised the prices of its VF7 electric SUV in India, with the latest hike going up to Rs 1.13 lakh. The price increase affects all five variants of the electric SUV, making the VF7 slightly more expensive for buyers looking to enter the premium electric SUV segment.
After the latest revision, the VinFast VF7 is now priced between Rs 22.99 lakh and Rs 28.09 lakh, ex-showroom. Depending on the variant, the price increase ranges from Rs 1.10 lakh to Rs 1.13 lakh. The updated pricing puts the VF7 at a higher price point against several established electric SUVs in India.
The VF7 is available in five variants, namely Earth, Wind, Wind Infinity, Sky and Sky Infinity. The range includes different battery and drivetrain configurations, with higher variants offering a larger battery pack and more powerful powertrain options.
The base VF7 Earth uses a 59.6kWh battery pack and produces 175bhp with 250Nm of torque. Higher variants get a 70.8kWh battery pack, with the single-motor versions producing 201bhp and 310Nm. The larger battery is also available with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup on the higher-spec versions.
Depending on the configuration, the VF7 offers a claimed range of up to 532km. This makes it suitable for buyers looking for a premium electric SUV with a combination of long-distance usability, performance and modern technology.
In terms of features, the VF7 gets a modern cabin with a large central touchscreen, connected-car technology, premium interior elements and advanced driver assistance features. Higher variants are also offered with larger wheels and additional equipment, giving them a more premium positioning within the lineup.
The VF7 measures around 4.5 metres in length and competes in a growing premium electric SUV market. Its key rivals include models such as the Mahindra XEV 9e and Tata Harrier EV, both of which have a strong presence in India’s expanding electric SUV space.
The latest price hike means prospective buyers will now have to spend more than before for the same VF7 variants. While the increase is relatively modest compared with the overall price of the SUV, it could influence buyers comparing multiple electric SUVs in the Rs 20 lakh to Rs 30 lakh range.
With VinFast continuing to expand its presence in India, the VF7 remains one of the company’s important products for the premium EV market. The latest price revision will be closely watched as competition among electric SUVs becomes increasingly intense.
