The updated BMW 7 Series and all-electric i7 have arrived in India with a refreshed design, upgraded technology and a more sophisticated cabin. BMW has made changes across both versions while retaining the long-wheelbase proportions and premium character that define the flagship sedan. The latest photo gallery gives a detailed look at the exterior and interior changes.
The biggest visual change at the front is the redesigned lighting arrangement. The 7 Series now features slimmer split LED headlights positioned around a squared-off illuminated kidney grille. The grille and lighting elements give the sedan a more distinctive appearance, while the overall profile remains familiar. New alloy wheel designs are also part of the facelift.
At the rear, BMW has introduced slimmer and longer LED tail-lamps along with a redesigned bumper. The i7 gets some additional styling differences, including unique wheels and sportier exterior detailing on the M70 variant. Despite these changes, the two powertrain versions continue to share the same basic design philosophy.
Inside, the facelift brings a much more noticeable technology upgrade. The dashboard features BMW’s Panoramic Vision display along with a 17.9-inch central touchscreen and a 14.6-inch passenger display. A redesigned steering wheel and revised cabin layout further modernise the interior.
Rear-seat comfort remains a major focus. The flagship sedan continues to offer electrically adjustable seats with heating, ventilation and massage functions. One of the standout features is the 31.3-inch 8K Theatre Screen, which turns the rear cabin into a mobile entertainment space. Touch controls integrated into the rear doors allow passengers to operate several comfort and entertainment functions.
For India, the facelifted 7 Series is offered with a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol six-cylinder engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. The updated 740 produces 400hp and 540Nm. The i7, meanwhile, is available in 50 xDrive M Sport and M70 xDrive forms. The i7 50 produces 455hp and 600Nm and has a claimed WLTP range of 728km, while the M70 develops 680hp and up to 1,100Nm.
BMW has priced the 7 Series and i7 50 xDrive M Sport from Rs 1.95 crore, while the i7 M70 xDrive costs Rs 2.65 crore, ex-showroom. The 7 Series and i7 50 are locally assembled in India, while the i7 M70 continues to be imported.
The latest photo gallery highlights how BMW has evolved its flagship sedan with sharper styling, advanced displays, and an even more technology-focused rear cabin while continuing to offer both combustion and electric powertrains.
