Jetour T2 Facelift Revealed, India May Get Pre-Facelift SUV

The Jetour T2 has received a facelift in international markets, bringing noticeable styling, interior, and powertrain updates to the rugged SUV. However, the timing of the update is particularly interesting for India, as JSW Motors is preparing to introduce a T2-based SUV in the country. Current test vehicles suggest that India could initially receive the pre-facelift version.

JSW Motors is expected to launch the T2-based SUV under its own brand, with recent reports identifying the model as the JSW Combat. The SUV has been extensively spotted testing in India in its outgoing form, featuring the familiar boxy body, rectangular LED headlamps, chunky bumpers and black exterior cladding.

Jetour T2 Facelift Gets a Major Design Update

The facelifted Jetour T2 retains the original SUV’s boxy proportions but receives a significantly revised front-end design. The square headlamps have been replaced by circular units, while a full-width LED light element has been integrated into the redesigned grille. The Jetour branding has also been moved onto the leading edge of the bonnet.

The front bumper is now cleaner and body-coloured, with some of the more aggressive off-road-style elements of the previous model removed. The SUV also gets new alloy wheels and body-coloured wheel arches. At the rear, changes include a revised bumper, spoiler and spare-wheel cover, while the distinctive vertical tail-lamps have been retained.

Interior Also Gets More Premium

Inside, the facelifted T2 receives a redesigned dashboard, new air vents and a new three-spoke steering wheel. The cabin also gets updated upholstery and additional equipment on higher variants.

The 15.6-inch infotainment screen remains, but it is now supported by a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255 processor and can incorporate a voice-controlled AI assistant. Some international versions also offer premium features such as powered massage seats, a high-end multi-speaker audio system, and ambient lighting.

What About the India-Spec SUV?

The key question is whether JSW Motors will bring this facelifted version to India. So far, the company has been testing the pre-facelift T2 extensively, making it more likely that the initial India-spec SUV will retain the older design. However, the launch timeline has reportedly shifted, potentially giving JSW Motors additional time to consider the updated model.

The India-bound SUV is expected to be locally assembled in Maharashtra and could feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The earlier T2 PHEV uses a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with electric motors and a battery pack.

For now, JSW Motors has not officially confirmed whether India will receive the facelifted T2 or the outgoing version. The final design, specifications, pricing, and launch date are still awaited.
