Indian Racing Festival Season Finale Confirmed

The Indian Racing Festival (IRF) has confirmed that its 2026 season will conclude with a night race at the new Navi Mumbai Street Circuit on December 5–6. The announcement completes the season calendar and adds a major urban racing event to India’s motorsport schedule.

The dedicated 3.69-kilometre street circuit will be located near Palm Beach Road in Navi Mumbai. Unlike conventional permanent racing venues, the circuit will bring competitive motorsport into an urban environment, offering spectators a different experience while giving teams and drivers a new type of challenge.

The Navi Mumbai event will serve as the season finale for both the F4 Indian Championship and the Indian Racing League. Racing under floodlights is expected to create a more dramatic atmosphere, while the street-circuit layout could place greater emphasis on precision, braking and consistency.

This will also be the Indian Racing Festival’s second night-race event. The first was held in Chennai in 2024. For the organisers, taking the championship into major cities is part of a broader effort to make motorsport more accessible to Indian audiences.

Buddh International Circuit Returns to the Calendar

Before the Navi Mumbai finale, the Indian Racing Festival will make its debut at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) in Greater Noida. The venue will host two rounds on October 31–November 1 and November 28–29.

BIC previously hosted the Formula 1 Indian Grand Prix and hasn’t hosted FIA-level racing in 13 years. Its inclusion therefore represents an important moment for Indian motorsport, allowing the championship to compete at one of the country’s most recognised racing facilities.

The F4 Indian Championship has already completed its opening two rounds at Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore. Aris Kyriakou currently leads the championship, while Luviwe Sambudla remains close behind after a strong second round.

The Indian Racing League will join the season later, with its campaign scheduled to run alongside the remaining rounds of the festival.

A Major Finale for Indian Motorsport

The Navi Mumbai Street Circuit could become one of the most important additions to the Indian Racing Festival in recent years. A night race in a major metropolitan area has the potential to attract a wider audience and provide greater visibility for domestic racing.

With BIC bringing a permanent circuit back into the spotlight and Navi Mumbai introducing a new street-racing environment, the final stages of the 2026 Indian Racing Festival will offer two very different motorsport experiences. The championship will ultimately crown its winners under the lights in Navi Mumbai on December 5–6.
