2026 Hyundai Exter Knight Edition Launched at Rs. 8.14 Lakh

Hyundai Motor India has introduced the 2026 Exter Knight Edition in the Indian market, adding a sportier and more distinctive version of its popular compact SUV. The new special edition is priced from Rs. 8.14 lakh (ex-showroom), making it Rs. 15,000 more expensive than the corresponding standard variants.

The Knight Edition is aimed at buyers who want a more aggressive appearance without moving to a larger SUV. Hyundai has focused mainly on styling changes, while the mechanical package remains largely unchanged.

2026 Hyundai Exter Knight Edition: Price and Variants

The new Exter Knight Edition is offered in two trims, HX 6 Knight and HX 10 Knight. It is available with petrol and CNG powertrain choices, depending on the variant. The range includes manual and AMT options, giving buyers more flexibility.

The starting price of Rs. 8.14 lakh is for the entry-level Knight Edition, while the higher-spec version gets additional equipment and features. All prices are ex-showroom and may vary depending on the city.

Sportier Exterior Design

The biggest highlight of the Hyundai Exter Knight Edition is its black-themed exterior treatment. The compact SUV gets blacked-out styling elements that give it a more aggressive road presence.

It features black alloy wheels, black skid plates and dark exterior detailing, along with red accents on the bumpers and front brake callipers. A dedicated Knight emblem further differentiates the special edition from the regular Exter. Hyundai has also added dark grey metallic door handles and other black elements to complete the theme.

The combination of black and red details gives the Exter Knight a sportier character without changing its basic design.

All-Black Interior with Red Highlights

The sporty treatment continues inside the cabin. The Exter Knight Edition gets an all-black interior with red accents and contrast red stitching. Red footwell lighting, special upholstery and metal scuff plates add to the special-edition appeal.

The equipment list is based on the existing Exter’s updated feature package. The 2026 Exter already comes with features such as a dashcam, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Type-C rear USB connectivity and Hyundai’s Bluelink connected-car technology.

No Major Mechanical Changes

Hyundai has not made major mechanical changes to the Knight Edition. It continues with the familiar 1.2-litre petrol engine and the available CNG powertrain. Transmission choices include a five-speed manual and AMT, depending on the variant.

This means the Knight Edition is primarily about design and equipment rather than additional performance. Buyers choosing this version are essentially paying a small premium for its exclusive styling and added visual appeal.

Wrapping Up

The 2026 Hyundai Exter Knight Edition gives the compact SUV a more youthful and aggressive identity while retaining the practicality and powertrain options of the regular model. With prices starting at Rs. 8.14 lakh, it could appeal to buyers who want a factory-customised look without spending significantly more.

For customers considering the Exter primarily for its styling, the Knight Edition offers a distinctive alternative to the standard variants, particularly with its black-and-red exterior and matching cabin theme. Hyundai says more than 1 lakh units of its Knight range have been sold since its introduction in 2022, highlighting the demand for such styling-focused editions.
