New Audi Q3 India Launch Expected This Festive Season

Audi is preparing to introduce the third-generation Q3 in India during the 2026 festive season. The upcoming luxury SUV will be one of the brand’s most important launches for the Indian market this year and is expected to bring a major design and technology upgrade over the outgoing model. Audi has confirmed the new Q3 for India as part of its upcoming product rollout.

The new Audi Q3 will continue to compete in the entry-level luxury SUV segment against models such as the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA. While the company has not announced an exact launch date or price yet, the SUV is expected to arrive between October and December 2026.

New Audi Q3 Gets a Completely New Design

The third-generation Q3 features a noticeably different exterior compared with the current model. It gets a wider and more upright front grille, slimmer split-style headlamps and sharper body lines. The SUV also features redesigned bumpers, new alloy wheels and modern LED lighting elements.

International versions of the Q3 are available with advanced lighting technology, including Matrix LED headlights and OLED rear lights. The new model is also around 40mm longer than its predecessor, giving it a more substantial road presence and potentially more cabin space.

Audi is also expected to offer the Q3 in its regular SUV body style, while a Q3 Sportback could follow. The exact India launch timing of the Sportback version has not yet been confirmed.

2.0-Litre Turbo-Petrol Engine Expected

For India, Audi is expected to continue with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. The new-generation model is likely to produce around 204hp and 320Nm of torque, with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Quattro all-wheel drive is also expected to remain standard. This could give the Q3 an advantage over some of its entry-level luxury rivals, particularly for buyers looking for an all-wheel-drive petrol SUV.

Globally, the Q3 is available with a wider range of powertrains, including petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid options. However, the India-spec model is expected to focus on the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol setup initially.

More Technology Inside the Cabin

The cabin of the new Q3 receives a significant technology upgrade. Expected highlights include an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The SUV could also feature wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, powered front seats and a premium audio system.

Advanced driver assistance systems are also expected to be part of the India-spec model, although Audi is yet to confirm the final equipment list.

Expected Price and Rivals

The new Audi Q3 is expected to be positioned around the Rs 50 lakh mark, ex-showroom, although the final price will be announced closer to launch. The current Q3 is priced below this level, so that the new generation could command a noticeable premium due to its updated styling, features, and technology.

With its new design, upgraded cabin and Quattro all-wheel-drive system, the upcoming Audi Q3 could become a strong contender in India’s compact luxury SUV market. More details on variants, features and pricing are expected to emerge closer to its festive-season launch.
