Audi is all set to unveil the new-generation Q3 in India on August 25, 2026. The upcoming luxury SUV will mark the arrival of the third-generation Q3 in the Indian market and is expected to bring a major design and technology upgrade over the outgoing model. The India-spec SUV is likely to be offered with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system.
New Audi Q3 Gets a Major Design Update
The new Q3 continues with the familiar compact SUV proportions, but Audi has given it a much more modern appearance. The front-end features a redesigned grille, sharper lighting elements and a more distinctive overall look. At the rear, the SUV gets newly designed tail lamps connected by a light bar, while the illuminated Audi logo adds to its premium appeal.
The design is expected to help the Q3 stand apart in an increasingly competitive luxury SUV segment. It will continue to rival models such as the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA, while the upcoming BMW X1 LWB is expected to bring additional competition in terms of cabin space.
2.0-Litre Turbo-Petrol Engine Expected
Under the bonnet, the Indian Q3 is expected to use Audi’s familiar 2.0-litre TFSI turbo-petrol engine. Reports suggest the engine could produce around 188bhp and 320Nm, although some international-market specifications quote outputs around 204hp depending on the version. Audi is expected to pair the engine with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
One of the biggest highlights for Indian buyers will be the Quattro all-wheel-drive system. Current reports indicate that AWD could be offered as standard across the India-spec Q3 range, giving the SUV an advantage for buyers looking for stronger traction and confident high-speed driving.
Completely Redesigned Interior
The cabin is another area where the new Q3 takes a significant step forward. Audi has redesigned the dashboard and introduced a more digital layout with updated displays and a revised centre console. The new-generation steering wheel and modern interface are expected to give the SUV a more premium and technology-focused feel.
The equipment list is also expected to include updated connectivity features, digital displays and a broader range of driver-assistance technologies. The emphasis on technology should make the Q3 more competitive against newer rivals in the segment.
India Launch and Expected Price
While Audi will reveal the new Q3 tomorrow, the exact India pricing is yet to be announced. The SUV is expected to reach dealerships around the upcoming festive season, with prices likely to be positioned in the premium luxury SUV space. Current estimates suggest an ex-showroom price range of around Rs. 43 lakh to Rs. 53 lakh, although the final figure will only be confirmed by Audi.
The new Audi Q3 will be the first of several new Audi products planned for India. With its updated styling, modern cabin, 2.0-litre petrol engine and Quattro AWD, the third-generation Q3 could become one of Audi’s key models in the Indian luxury SUV market. More details on variants, features and pricing are expected to emerge following tomorrow’s official debut.
