Maruti Suzuki has increased the prices of the Jimny in India by Rs. 15,000, making the lifestyle SUV slightly more expensive from August 2026. The latest revision applies across the entire Jimny range and has been implemented with immediate effect.
The price hike comes as part of Maruti Suzuki’s latest round of price revisions across several models in its portfolio. While the increase is relatively small compared with the overall price of the SUV, it could affect buyers who are already considering the Jimny against rivals such as the Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha.
New Maruti Jimny Prices
After the latest Rs. 15,000 increase, the Maruti Jimny is now priced from Rs. 12.54 lakh to Rs. 14.67 lakh, ex-showroom. The revised prices cover the Zeta and Alpha variants, along with both manual and automatic gearbox options. Dual-tone versions are also affected by the same revision.
The entry-level Zeta variant with the 1.5-litre petrol engine and manual gearbox now costs Rs. 12.54 lakh. The Zeta automatic is priced at around Rs. 13.60 lakh, while the Alpha manual and automatic versions are positioned higher in the range. The top-spec Alpha dual-tone automatic is now priced at Rs. 14.67 lakh, ex-showroom.
Same Engine and 4×4 Hardware
There are no mechanical changes to the Jimny as part of this price revision. It continues to use Maruti Suzuki’s 1.5-litre petrol engine, paired with either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission.

One of the biggest attractions of the Jimny remains its AllGrip Pro four-wheel-drive system with a low-range transfer case. This setup gives the compact SUV genuine off-road capability and separates it from many urban-focused SUVs in the same broad price range.
The Jimny also retains its compact dimensions, high ground clearance and boxy design. These characteristics make it particularly appealing to buyers looking for a lifestyle vehicle rather than a conventional family SUV.
Another Price Hike in 2026
The latest revision is not the first price increase received by the Jimny this year. Maruti Suzuki had already increased its prices by up to Rs. 7,500 in June 2026. With the latest Rs. 15,000 hike, the cumulative increase compared with earlier 2026 pricing is higher for some variants.
Despite the increase, the Jimny continues to occupy a distinctive position in the Indian market. Its five-door layout makes it more practical than the three-door version sold in several international markets, while its four-wheel-drive system keeps its off-road character intact.
For buyers planning to purchase the Jimny, the latest price revision means that the final on-road cost will also rise depending on the city, insurance and registration charges. However, the Rs. 15,000 increase is unlikely to dramatically change the SUV’s overall ownership proposition.
With no major mechanical update announced alongside the price revision, the Jimny continues into the latest model year with the same core package of compact dimensions, petrol power and proper four-wheel-drive capability.
