4 Upcoming Mahindra SUVs: BE 07 and Vision Series

Mahindra is preparing for another major expansion of its SUV portfolio, with four all-new models expected to enter different segments over the coming years. The upcoming range includes the electric BE 07 and three SUVs previewed by the Vision S, Vision X and Vision T concepts. These models are part of Mahindra’s broader product strategy to strengthen its presence across electric, urban and lifestyle SUV segments.

Mahindra BE 07: New Premium Electric SUV

The BE 07 is expected to become the fourth born-electric SUV from Mahindra, positioned above the BE 6 in the company’s electric range. Unlike the coupe-inspired BE 6 and XEV 9e, the BE 07 will feature a more traditional and practical SUV design.

The upcoming electric SUV will be based on Mahindra’s INGLO architecture and is expected to offer battery options ranging from 59kWh to 79kWh. A rear-wheel-drive setup is likely, while higher variants could get dual motors with all-wheel drive. The larger battery version is expected to deliver a real-world range of around 500km.

Recent test vehicles have revealed features such as frameless doors, flush-fitting handles and a triple-screen dashboard. Advanced driver assistance systems, a panoramic sunroof and premium connected features are also expected. The BE 07 is currently expected to arrive in India around early 2027.

Vision S: Compact SUV With Scorpio Inspiration

The Vision S is expected to be the first production model from Mahindra’s new Vision family. It previews a sub-four-metre SUV with a tall and boxy design, giving it a rugged appearance similar to the larger Scorpio family.

The SUV will be based on Mahindra’s NU_IQ platform, which has been designed to support petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric powertrains. Production versions are expected to retain several styling cues from the concept, including a prominent upright stance, squared wheel arches and a rear-mounted spare wheel.

The Vision S is currently expected to launch in early 2027.

Vision X: Next-Generation Urban SUV

The Vision X represents Mahindra’s more urban and sporty SUV direction. It is expected to preview the next-generation XUV 3XO and will also use the flexible NU_IQ architecture.

Unlike the rugged Vision S, the Vision X features a more aerodynamic design with modern lighting elements, flush door handles and a cleaner overall profile. The production model could eventually be offered with petrol, hybrid and electric powertrains.

Vision T: Future Lifestyle Off-Roader

The Vision T is the most adventure-focused concept among the four. Its boxy body, chunky tyres, high ground clearance and rugged detailing suggest a strong connection with Mahindra’s Thar family. It is widely expected to preview a future lifestyle SUV, potentially including an electric Thar derivative.

Together, the BE 07 and Vision-series SUVs show how Mahindra plans to cover several emerging segments while retaining its strong SUV identity. With production versions expected to arrive from 2027 onwards, the new models could significantly reshape Mahindra’s lineup in India.
