BMW 7 Series i7 Facelift Launch Today: New Updates

BMW is set to introduce the facelifted 7 Series and i7 in India today, bringing a series of technology and powertrain updates to its flagship luxury sedan range. The updated models are expected to retain the premium design and spacious cabin of the current-generation cars while adding new features aimed at improving comfort, efficiency and in-car technology.

The biggest changes are expected to be seen on the electric i7. BMW is likely to introduce a larger battery pack as part of the facelift, potentially improving the car’s driving range over the existing version. While the exact India-spec battery capacity and certified range will be confirmed at the launch, the update should make the i7 more competitive in the growing luxury EV segment.

The facelifted 7 Series range is also expected to receive technology upgrades inside the cabin. One of the highlights is the introduction of an 8K-resolution rear entertainment screen. The system is designed to offer passengers a more premium viewing experience, particularly for those travelling in the rear seats.

BMW is also expected to introduce its latest-generation iDrive interface with the updated models. The new system should bring a cleaner user interface, improved connectivity and more intuitive controls. As with the existing 7 Series, the focus will remain strongly on rear-seat comfort and digital technology.

Design and Features

The facelift is expected to bring subtle styling revisions rather than a complete redesign. Updates could include revised lighting elements, new wheel designs and minor changes to the front and rear sections. BMW is also likely to offer new exterior and interior customisation options.

Inside, the 7 Series and i7 should continue with a high-end cabin featuring premium materials, electrically adjustable seats and advanced comfort functions. The rear compartment is expected to remain one of the strongest selling points of the flagship sedan.

The India-spec powertrain lineup and variant details will be confirmed at the official launch. BMW could continue offering both petrol and electric options, giving buyers a choice between conventional performance and zero-emission motoring.

What to Expect

The updated BMW 7 Series and i7 will compete with other flagship luxury sedans from Mercedes-Benz and Audi in India. With a larger battery, upgraded infotainment technology and an 8K rear screen, BMW is looking to keep its flagship sedan technologically relevant in an increasingly digital luxury-car market.

More details on pricing, specifications, range, and variant-wise features are expected to be announced today.
