Hyundai Bayon Bookings Open for Rs. 11,000

Hyundai Motor India has officially opened bookings for the upcoming Hyundai Bayon in India. Interested buyers can reserve the new SUV by paying an initial booking amount of Rs. 11,000 through Hyundai’s official website or at authorised dealerships across the country. The Bayon is scheduled to arrive during the festive season, while its exact launch date, prices, and variant-wise details are yet to be announced.

The Hyundai Bayon will become a new addition to the company’s SUV portfolio in India. It is expected to sit between the Venue and Creta in Hyundai’s lineup and will target buyers looking for a relatively compact SUV with more cabin space and technology. The upcoming model has already been teased extensively, giving a clear idea of its design direction.

Hyundai Bayon Design and Interior

The Bayon gets a crossover-inspired exterior rather than the traditional upright SUV shape. The front features Hyundai’s new lighting signature, with distinctive LED daytime running lights and vertically positioned headlamps. The SUV also gets sculpted body panels, roof rails, flared wheel arches, and a modern rear design with connected-looking lighting elements.

Inside, Hyundai is expected to offer a technology-focused cabin. The Bayon will feature a connected dual-screen setup, with the interior design sharing similarities with Hyundai’s latest-generation products. A major highlight is the built-in generative AI voice assistant, which is designed to provide a more natural way of interacting with the vehicle’s functions.

Petrol Engine and Transmission Options

Hyundai has confirmed that the Bayon will be powered by a petrol engine and offered with both a manual transmission and Hyundai’s Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). The company has not yet revealed the complete India-spec engine specifications, although reports indicate that the SUV is likely to use a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine related to the unit used in the Creta.

The company has also highlighted the Bayon’s Global K Enhanced Platform, which Hyundai says has been engineered for 5-star Indian safety standards. However, the final safety rating will depend on an official crash-test assessment.

Launch and Expected Price

Hyundai has confirmed that the Bayon will arrive during the festive season, with deliveries and other launch-related details to be announced later. The official ex-showroom price has not been revealed yet.

With bookings now open for Rs. 11,000, the Hyundai Bayon is moving closer to its Indian market launch. More information on variants, features, pricing, and delivery timelines is expected to be announced around the launch.
