Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Price Under Rs 19.79 Lakh, Launch by 2027

Mahindra has officially unveiled its new lifestyle pickup truck for the Indian market, and it is set to enter the segment with an aggressive price promise. Called the Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler, the new pickup is based on the same ladder-frame architecture as the Scorpio N and is aimed at buyers looking for a rugged vehicle with everyday usability. Mahindra has confirmed that the pickup will be priced below Rs 19.79 lakh, ex-showroom.

The Scorpio Lifestyler is the production version of the Global Pik Up concept that Mahindra showcased in 2023. While the international model will be sold simply as the Lifestyler, the Indian market will get the Scorpio name, giving the pickup a stronger connection with one of Mahindra’s most recognisable SUV brands. The company has also confirmed that the India launch will take place by April 2027.

In terms of design, the Scorpio Lifestyler carries a distinctly rugged appearance but is not simply a pickup version of the Scorpio N. It gets a redesigned front fascia with a wider grille, revised lighting elements, squared-off wheel arches and a muscular stance. At the rear, the pickup features a large cargo bed, distinctive LED tail lamps and a Mahindra-branded tailgate. The production model will also be showcased in different editions, including Reef, Trail and Valley versions.

Under the bonnet, Mahindra has confirmed a 2.2-litre diesel engine, along with both 2WD and 4WD configurations. The company has not yet revealed the final power and torque figures or the complete transmission lineup. However, the engine is closely related to the diesel unit used in the Scorpio N, where it is offered with manual and automatic gearbox options.

The cabin is expected to offer a more premium experience than traditional pickup trucks. Key highlights include a digital driver display, a portrait-oriented touchscreen infotainment system and modern climate-control interfaces. The Scorpio Lifestyler is designed as a lifestyle vehicle rather than a purely commercial pickup, making features, comfort and road presence important parts of its package.

With its sub-Rs 19.79 lakh starting price, the Scorpio Lifestyler could become one of the more aggressively positioned lifestyle pickups in India. It will take on established rivals such as the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max V-Cross. If Mahindra manages to combine competitive pricing with the Scorpio brand, 4WD capability and modern features, the new pickup could bring fresh interest to India’s lifestyle pickup segment.
