Maruti Suzuki Dzire Price Hike Up to Rs. 7,500

Maruti Suzuki has revised the prices of the Dzire sedan in India, with the latest increase going up to Rs. 7,500 depending on the variant. The price revision makes the popular compact sedan slightly more expensive for new buyers, although the Dzire continues to compete strongly in the highly competitive sub-4-metre sedan segment.

The Dzire is one of Maruti Suzuki’s most established models in the Indian market and is known for its practical cabin, comfortable driving experience, and relatively low running costs. The latest price hike comes without a major change to the car’s core mechanical package or overall positioning.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire New Price Revision

The price increase varies across different variants rather than applying the same amount to the entire range. Buyers should check the updated ex-showroom price of their preferred variant before buying.

The Dzire is offered in multiple variants, giving buyers the choice to select equipment and transmission options according to their budget. The range includes petrol-manual and petrol-AMT versions, while a CNG option is also available for customers looking for better fuel economy and lower running costs.

The price revision could have a greater impact on entry-level buyers, particularly those shopping with a fixed budget. Even a few thousand rupees can influence the final on-road price once registration, insurance and other charges are added.

Engine and Features

A 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine powers the current-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire. It can be paired with either a five-speed manual gearbox or an automated manual transmission. The CNG version is offered with a manual transmission and is aimed at buyers who prioritise fuel efficiency.

The Dzire also comes with a substantially updated design compared with its predecessor. Inside, it offers a modern dashboard layout along with features such as a touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, cruise control and connected-car technology on higher variants.

Safety equipment has also received greater attention in the latest-generation model. Depending on the variant, the Dzire gets features such as multiple airbags, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and a rear camera.

What the Price Hike Means for Buyers

The latest Rs. 7,500 price increase is relatively small compared with the overall cost of the car, but it still raises the amount buyers will need to pay at the dealership. Customers planning to purchase the Dzire should compare the revised ex-showroom price with the final on-road quote, as taxes, insurance and optional accessories can significantly affect the total cost.

Despite the revision, the Dzire remains a strong option for buyers seeking a compact sedan with a practical cabin, efficient powertrain choices and Maruti Suzuki’s extensive service network. However, buyers should consider the exact variant and transmission carefully, as the price difference between versions can make a noticeable difference to the overall ownership cost.
