Toyota Camry Price Hike: Up to Rs. 1.27 Lakh

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has increased the prices of the Camry premium sedan in India by up to Rs. 1.27 lakh. The latest revision makes the Camry more expensive for buyers looking for a comfortable and feature-rich hybrid sedan. Despite the price increase, Toyota continues to offer the Camry with a strong focus on luxury, refinement and fuel efficiency.

The Toyota Camry is currently offered in India in a single fully loaded variant, powered by a petrol-hybrid powertrain. Before the latest revision, the sedan was positioned as a premium alternative to models such as the Skoda Superb and other executive sedans in the Indian market. With the latest hike, its price positioning moves further into the premium luxury car segment.

The Camry uses a 2.5-litre petrol engine paired with Toyota’s hybrid system. The setup combines the petrol engine with an electric motor and is designed to deliver a balance between performance and efficiency. Power is sent to the front wheels through an e-CVT automatic transmission.

One of the major strengths of the Camry is its focus on comfort rather than outright performance. The sedan gets a spacious cabin with premium upholstery, powered front seats and a range of convenience features. It also comes equipped with a large infotainment display, a digital driver’s display, automatic climate control, and connected-car technology.

Safety remains another important part of the Camry package. Toyota offers multiple airbags, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera and advanced driver assistance features. The hybrid sedan is also equipped with Toyota’s safety technologies aimed at improving occupant protection and reducing the chances of collisions.

The latest price increase could influence the buying decision of customers who are considering the Camry primarily for its hybrid efficiency and premium cabin experience. However, Toyota’s reputation for reliability and the sedan’s established hybrid technology continue to be key selling points.

For buyers, the price hike means the Camry now demands a higher budget than before. Still, its combination of a spacious interior, smooth hybrid powertrain, strong safety equipment, and premium comfort keeps it relevant in India’s shrinking executive sedan market.

Toyota’s latest revision also highlights the increasing prices of premium vehicles in India. With the Camry now costing significantly more, buyers may increasingly compare it with similarly priced luxury sedans before making a final decision.
