Mahindra has done it again. The 2026 Scorpio-N has officially landed in India, and it comes loaded with upgrades that fans have been waiting for. Prices start at Rs. 13.69 lakh (ex-showroom), and the SUV is offered across seven variants with both petrol and diesel powertrain options. For a body-on-frame, three-row SUV at this price point, that’s simply hard to beat.
What’s New This Time Around?
Mahindra hasn’t just slapped a new badge and called it a day. The headline addition is the panoramic sunroof, which comes as part of the top-spec Z8L variant. Alongside it, the Z8L also gets a 540-degree surround view camera with a blind spot monitor. These are features people were demanding, and Mahindra has listened.
The infotainment setup has also been upgraded across mid and upper variants. The dashboard now houses a 12.29-inch touchscreen infotainment system with physical buttons, while the analogue instrument cluster is replaced with a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with three configurable display layouts. That’s a significant interior step-up from the previous generation.
The new features list also includes R18 diamond-cut alloy wheels, a 65W USB Type-C fast-charging port for the front row, and an Adventure Statistics display that shows engine performance, roll and pitch, compass, altimeter, and G-force readings. That last bit? Pure Scorpio character, rugged, capable, and proud of it.
Engines Stay the Same — and That’s a Good Thing
Mahindra has left the mechanics completely unchanged. The SUV continues with its 2.0-litre turbo-petrol delivering 203hp and 370Nm, and a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel offered in two tunes: 132hp/300Nm for lower variants and 175hp/370Nm for higher trims. Both are paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque-converter automatic transmission. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Safety Gets an Upgrade Too
The safety features list now includes a 540-degree surround-view system with a blind-spot monitor. Other highlights include multiple airbags, driver drowsiness detection, and an E-call function with an SOS switch. The top-spec versions continue to offer Level 2 ADAS. For a family SUV at this price, that’s genuinely impressive safety coverage.
