Two Hyundai SUVs Launching This Year: Next-Gen Creta in 2027

Hyundai Motor India is preparing for a busy product cycle, with two new SUVs expected to arrive in the Indian market before the end of 2026. The company is also working on the next-generation Creta, which has now been confirmed for India and is expected to arrive in 2027.

Two New Hyundai SUVs Coming in 2026

The first major upcoming model is expected to be the Hyundai Bayon, which will be positioned between the Venue and Creta. The SUV could make its Indian debut around the festive season, with reports pointing towards a September-October 2026 launch window.

The Bayon is expected to strengthen Hyundai’s presence in the increasingly competitive compact and midsize SUV space. It will likely appeal to buyers looking for a more premium alternative to the Venue without moving all the way up to the Creta.

Hyundai is also preparing another new SUV for India, including a compact electric SUV aimed at expanding its EV portfolio. The company has confirmed plans for a new India-specific electric SUV, although its exact market positioning and final name are yet to be revealed.

Next-Generation Hyundai Creta Coming in 2027

The biggest development, however, is the next-generation Hyundai Creta. The company has confirmed that a new-generation Creta is part of its upcoming India product strategy, with the SUV expected to arrive in 2027.

The third-generation Creta is expected to receive a major design and technology overhaul rather than a simple facelift. Reports suggest that Hyundai could introduce a stronger hybrid powertrain, along with improvements to the cabin, connected technology and driver-assistance features.

The next Creta is also expected to adopt Hyundai’s newer K3 platform. If introduced as expected, the platform could give Hyundai greater flexibility to offer different powertrain options in the future, including petrol, hybrid and potentially electric technology.

Hyundai’s SUV Strategy Gets Bigger

Hyundai’s upcoming launches come at a time when India’s SUV market is becoming increasingly crowded. Models such as the Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder and upcoming new-generation SUVs are putting pressure on established players.

For Hyundai, the new SUVs and next-generation Creta will be important products for maintaining its position in India’s fast-growing SUV market. The company has also announced an ambitious plan to introduce 26 new models in India by 2030.

With two SUVs expected in 2026 and the next-generation Creta following in 2027, Hyundai is clearly preparing for a significant expansion of its Indian SUV portfolio. Further details on pricing, engines, and variants are expected closer to their respective launches.
