Aston Martin has unveiled its latest ultra-exclusive performance car, the Valen, bringing together a powerful V12 engine, aggressive styling and extensive lightweight engineering. Positioned as a highly limited bespoke model, the Valen is based on the Vanquish platform but has been extensively reworked to deliver a more focused and dramatic driving experience.
Aston Martin Valen Gets a 5.2-Litre Twin-Turbo V12
At the heart of the Valen is Aston Martin’s 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine. It develops 850 PS and 1,000 Nm of peak torque, making the Valen the brand’s most powerful front-engined production road car to date. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission, which features specially tuned shift logic inspired by Aston Martin’s Vantage GT4 racing programme.
The performance figures are equally impressive. Aston Martin claims a 0-100 kmph acceleration time of around 3.1 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to 345 kmph. This puts the Valen firmly among the fastest front-engined grand tourers currently available.
Lighter and More Focused Than the Vanquish
Although the Valen shares its basic platform with the Vanquish, Aston Martin has made extensive changes to reduce weight and improve performance. The company has used carbon fibre, aluminium, magnesium and titanium across the car, helping reduce weight by around 110 kg compared with the existing V12 platform. An optional lightweight package can reduce the weight even further.

The chassis and suspension have also been revised for a sharper driving character. The Valen gets adaptive Bilstein dampers, specially developed Pirelli tyres, carbon-ceramic brakes and lightweight 21-inch magnesium wheels. These upgrades are designed to provide greater control without sacrificing the long-distance comfort expected from an Aston Martin.
Aggressive Exterior Design
The Valen takes a considerably more aggressive approach to design than the standard Vanquish. It features a prominent front splitter, slimmer lighting elements, large aerodynamic openings and extensive exposed carbon-fibre detailing. The rear design is particularly distinctive, while the car also gets a dramatic titanium exhaust system.
Aston Martin says the exhaust is around 50 percent louder than the Vanquish, giving the V12 a more pronounced character. The car also does away with a conventional rear window and instead uses a camera-based system, helping create a cleaner and more focused rear design.
Bespoke Interior and Limited Production
Inside, the Valen follows a more minimalist and performance-oriented theme. It uses lightweight materials and 3D-printed components, while buyers can personalize the cabin extensively through Aston Martin’s Q customization programme. This makes each example potentially different in terms of materials, colours and trim.

Production will be strictly limited to just 150 units worldwide. Deliveries are expected to begin in the second quarter of 2027, making the Valen an extremely rare addition to Aston Martin’s growing collection of bespoke V12 models.
With its 850 PS V12, 345 kmph top speed, extensive use of lightweight materials and limited production run, the Aston Martin Valen represents a dramatic evolution of the modern front-engined grand tourer. It combines traditional Aston Martin character with a much more aggressive performance-focused approach.
