Mahindra BE 07 has once again grabbed attention ahead of its expected launch in India, with the latest spy shots offering the clearest look yet at the upcoming electric SUV’s exterior design. Although the test vehicle remains heavily camouflaged, several important styling elements are now visible, giving a better idea of what the production-spec model could look like.
Upright SUV Design Instead of a Coupe Profile
Unlike the BE 6 and XEV 9e, which feature a more aggressive coupe-SUV silhouette, the BE 07 follows a conventional and more practical SUV shape. The latest test mule appears to have a tall and upright stance, which should help create more usable cabin space, particularly for rear passengers.
The overall design continues to reflect the styling language of the BE.07 concept, with sharp surfaces, a wide body and a strong road presence. Earlier Mahindra information had positioned the BE.07 as a family-oriented electric SUV based on the INGLO architecture.
Sharp Front-End Styling
At the front, the latest spy images reveal slim LED daytime running lights positioned high on the fascia. The lighting signature appears to follow the C-shaped design theme already seen on Mahindra’s electric SUV range.
The main headlamps sit lower beneath the DRLs, while the conventional grille area is replaced by a largely closed-off surface, as expected on an electric vehicle. The lower bumper gets air openings that are likely designed to help manage cooling requirements for the electric powertrain and associated components.
Flush Handles and Strong Side Profile
One of the most interesting details visible in the latest images is the use of frameless doors and flush-fitting retractable door handles. These features give the BE 07 a more premium appearance and help maintain the clean, aerodynamic look of the body.
The SUV also gets prominent cladding around the wheel arches and lower body, along with flared arches that add a more muscular appearance. Aero-focused alloy wheels and camera-equipped ORVMs are also visible, suggesting that the BE 07 will combine styling with efficiency-focused design elements.
Expected INGLO Platform and 2027 Launch
The Mahindra BE 07 will be based on the company’s INGLO electric vehicle platform, which also underpins models such as the BE 6 and XEV 9e. It is expected to share battery technology with Mahindra’s existing electric SUVs, although final specifications have not yet been officially announced.
The production-spec BE 07 is expected to arrive in India in 2027. Once launched, it will compete with electric SUVs such as the Tata Harrier EV, VinFast VF7 and BYD Atto 3.
With its more traditional SUV proportions, premium exterior details and dedicated EV architecture, the BE 07 could become one of Mahindra’s most important electric SUVs for buyers looking for practicality without giving up futuristic styling.
