Maruti Suzuki has revised the prices of the Swift in India, making the popular hatchback costlier by Rs. 5,000 across its range. The latest price adjustment applies to the petrol manual, AMT and CNG variants, with no variant left unchanged in this revision. Following the hike, the Swift continues to remain one of the more accessible premium hatchbacks in the Indian market.
The updated Swift price range starts at Rs. 5.84 lakh for the entry-level LXi petrol manual and goes up to around Rs. 8.74 lakh for the top-spec ZXi Plus AMT, with all prices being ex-showroom. Maruti Suzuki’s official website currently lists the LXi MT at Rs. 5,83,900.

The Swift continues to use Maruti Suzuki’s 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, offered with both a five-speed manual gearbox and an automated manual transmission. Buyers looking for lower running costs can also choose the factory-fitted S-CNG versions, which are available with a five-speed manual transmission.
The price revision is relatively small in absolute terms, but it adds to the Swift’s price changes seen earlier in 2026. The hatchback had already received another revision earlier in the year, meaning the cumulative increase from earlier 2026 prices is more noticeable for buyers comparing older price lists.
Despite the higher prices, the Swift retains its core strengths, including its compact dimensions, petrol and CNG powertrain choices, automatic option, and established service network. It continues to compete with other popular hatchbacks such as the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Tata Altroz.
For buyers planning to purchase a Swift, it is important to remember that the listed prices are ex-showroom. The final on-road price will vary depending on the state, registration charges, insurance, and other applicable costs. Maruti Suzuki also notes that the price and schemes prevailing at the time of invoicing or billing will apply.
With the latest Rs. 5,000 increase, the Swift remains competitively positioned, although buyers should compare the final on-road price and available offers before making a purchase.
