Skoda Auto India has officially launched the Slavia facelift in the Indian market, with prices starting at Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated sedan arrives with refreshed styling, additional features, and an important mechanical upgrade. The facelift is the first major update to the Slavia since its original introduction in 2022 and continues to target buyers looking for a premium and driver-focused midsize sedan.
The 2026 Skoda Slavia facelift is offered in six variants: Classic, Classic Plus, Signature, Sportline, Prestige and Monte Carlo. Prices range from Rs. 9.99 lakh to Rs. 18.84 lakh (ex-showroom). The entry-level price remains almost unchanged, while the top-spec version gets a moderate price increase over the outgoing model.
Refreshed Exterior Design
Skoda has retained the familiar proportions of the Slavia but introduced several styling updates. The sedan now gets redesigned LED headlamps, updated LED tail lamps with sequential turn indicators, revised bumpers, and new alloy wheel designs. The grille also receives subtle changes, giving the front-end a sharper appearance.
The Monte Carlo variant adds a sportier look with black exterior elements and contrasting red accents. New colour options, including Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige, are also available. Deliveries of the Cappuccino Beige shade are scheduled to begin in December 2026.
More Features Inside the Cabin
The cabin layout remains largely familiar, but Skoda has added several useful features. Highlights include a 10.25-inch digital driver display, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, integrated Google Assistant, a wireless phone charger and a 360-degree camera.
One of the biggest additions is the rear-seat massage function, which Skoda describes as a segment-first feature. Higher variants also get ventilated and electrically adjustable front seats, adding more comfort for long-distance journeys.
New 8-Speed Automatic Gearbox
The Slavia continues with its familiar 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines. The 1.0 TSI produces 115PS and 178Nm and is now available with either a 6-speed manual or a new 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox. The 1.5 TSI continues with 150PS, 250Nm and a 7-speed DSG automatic.
The new 8-speed automatic is one of the most significant updates, replacing the earlier 6-speed automatic option for the 1.0 TSI.
Safety and Competition
Safety equipment includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, tyre pressure monitoring and a 360-degree camera. The Slavia facelift continues to compete with the Volkswagen Virtus, Hyundai Verna and Honda City.
With its sharper design, improved equipment and new automatic gearbox, the facelifted Slavia strengthens Skoda’s position in India’s midsize sedan market while retaining the qualities that made the original model popular.
