VinFast has expanded the colour choices for its VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs in India with three new exterior paint options. The latest update gives buyers more scope to personalise their vehicles and comes as the Vietnamese electric carmaker continues to strengthen its presence in the Indian market.
The new colour options are being introduced for the VinFast VF 6 and VF 7, two electric SUVs positioned in different segments. While the VF 6 targets the compact electric SUV space, the VF 7 is aimed at customers looking for a larger and more premium electric SUV.
The addition of new colours may appear to be a small update, but it is an important move for a relatively new brand in the Indian market. Exterior colour choices play a significant role in the buying decision, particularly in the premium SUV segment where customers often look for distinctive styling along with modern technology.

The VF 6 features a modern SUV design with a clean front profile, connected lighting elements and a relatively aerodynamic body. The VF 7 takes a more aggressive approach, with sharper styling and a wider stance that gives it a stronger road presence. The new colour choices are expected to further enhance the visual appeal of both models.
Apart from the colour update, the VF 6 and VF 7 continue with their existing electric powertrain and technology packages. Both SUVs are designed around VinFast’s global EV platform and offer features aimed at competing with established electric vehicle manufacturers.
The VF 7, in particular, is positioned as a premium electric SUV and offers a spacious cabin, a large central infotainment display, and a technology-focused interior. The VF 6 follows a more compact footprint while retaining the brand’s modern design and connected-car features.
VinFast’s latest colour update comes at a time when competition in India’s electric SUV market is becoming increasingly intense. Several manufacturers are expanding their EV portfolios, giving customers more choices across different price points and body styles.

For VinFast, offering more colour options is also part of building a stronger product identity in India. As the company increases its focus on the Indian market, regular product updates could help keep the VF 6 and VF 7 relevant among buyers considering an electric SUV.
The three new colour options add another layer of personalisation to VinFast’s electric SUV range, while the core design, features and electric powertrains remain unchanged.
