VinFast VF 6 Price Hike: Prices Revised by Rs. 90,000

VinFast has revised the prices of its VF 6 electric SUV in India, making the model more expensive by up to Rs. 90,000. The latest price revision is effective immediately and applies across all three variants of the VF 6. This is the second price increase for the electric SUV in less than a year.

VinFast VF 6 Gets Another Price Hike

The VF 6 was launched in India in September 2025 with introductory pricing. After the introductory prices ended, VinFast increased the SUV’s prices in January 2026. The latest revision means buyers now have to pay another Rs. 90,000 for the higher variants.

Following the latest hike, the VinFast VF 6 is priced between Rs. 18.19 lakh and Rs. 20.09 lakh, ex-showroom. The SUV continues to be offered in Earth, Wind, and Wind Infinity variants.

The Earth variant has seen a different price movement compared with the higher trims, while the Wind and Wind Infinity variants have received the full Rs. 90,000 increase in the latest revision. This makes the top-spec VF 6 notably more expensive than it was when the model first arrived in India.

VinFast VF 6 Battery and Powertrain

The VinFast VF 6 is positioned as a premium electric SUV and comes with a 59.6kWh battery pack. It is designed to compete with electric SUVs in the mid-size segment, offering a combination of performance, technology and premium cabin features.

The SUV gets features such as connected LED lighting, 18-inch alloy wheels and a large 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Depending on the variant, buyers also get features including a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats and Level 2 ADAS.

The feature list is one of the key selling points of the VF 6, especially for buyers looking for a technology-loaded electric SUV without moving into a significantly higher price bracket.

Prices and Competition

With the latest revision, the VF 6 now starts at Rs. 18.19 lakh, ex-showroom, putting it in a competitive but increasingly crowded part of India’s EV market. Buyers considering the VF 6 can also look at models such as the MG ZS EV, BYD Atto 3 and other upcoming electric SUVs in this price range.

VinFast VF 6 Price Hike: Prices Revised by Rs. 90,000

The price increase could make the buying decision more challenging for customers who were attracted to the VF 6 primarily because of its introductory pricing. However, its equipment levels and premium positioning continue to give it a distinct place in the segment.

VinFast Expands Its India Presence

VinFast is continuing to expand its presence in the Indian market with multiple electric models. The company currently sells the VF 6 and VF 7, while the VF MPV 7 has also joined its India portfolio. The automaker is also working on expanding its retail and after-sales network across the country.

For now, the latest Rs. 90,000 price hike makes the VF 6 a little less affordable, but the SUV continues to offer a strong combination of electric powertrain technology, features and premium equipment. Buyers planning to purchase one should check the latest variant-wise prices and dealership offers before booking.
