Maruti Suzuki has revised the prices of the Grand Vitara in India, with most petrol and strong-hybrid variants receiving a price increase of ₹5,000. The latest revision has pushed up the ex-showroom prices of several variants, although some versions, including the CNG models and selected “O” trims, have remained unchanged.
The Grand Vitara continues to be one of Maruti Suzuki’s important offerings in the midsize SUV segment. It is available with multiple powertrain choices, including a 1.5-litre petrol engine, a CNG option and a strong-hybrid powertrain. The SUV is also offered with both manual and automatic transmission choices, while selected petrol variants get an all-wheel-drive system.
Grand Vitara New Price Range
Following the latest revision, the Grand Vitara is priced from around ₹10.77 lakh to ₹19.62 lakh, ex-showroom. The entry-level Sigma petrol manual continues at ₹10.76 lakh, while several higher petrol and hybrid variants have become ₹5,000 more expensive.
For example, the Delta petrol manual has increased from ₹12.09 lakh to ₹12.14 lakh, while the Zeta petrol manual now costs around ₹13.75 lakh. The Alpha petrol manual has also moved up to approximately ₹15.24 lakh.
The automatic petrol variants have received a similar adjustment. The Delta automatic is now priced at around ₹13.49 lakh, while the Zeta and Alpha automatic variants cost approximately ₹15.10 lakh and ₹16.59 lakh, respectively.
CNG and Strong Hybrid Variants
Interestingly, the price revision has not affected every Grand Vitara variant. The CNG range remains unchanged, with the Delta CNG priced at around ₹12.99 lakh and the Zeta CNG at approximately ₹14.60 lakh. Some petrol variants carrying the “O” suffix have also been kept outside the latest increase.
The strong-hybrid variants, meanwhile, have received a ₹5,000 increase across the range. The Delta Plus hybrid now costs around ₹16.68 lakh, while the top-spec Alpha Plus (O) hybrid is priced at approximately ₹19.62 lakh, ex-showroom.
Why Has Maruti Suzuki Increased Prices?
Maruti Suzuki has cited sustained increases in input costs and continuing inflationary pressures as the reason behind its recent price revisions. The company has also stated that it has been taking cost-reduction measures but has had to pass on part of the additional cost to customers.
For buyers planning to purchase the Grand Vitara, the latest increase is relatively small at ₹5,000 for affected variants. However, customers should check the final invoice price and ongoing dealer offers before booking, as discounts and on-road costs can vary depending on the variant and location.
The Grand Vitara continues to offer a broad choice of petrol, CNG and hybrid powertrains, giving buyers several options across different budgets and usage requirements.
