JSW MG Motor India has unveiled two of its most exclusive electric vehicles yet. The MG M9 Couture Edition and the MG Cyberster Couture Edition have officially gone on sale in India, marking a new high point for the brand’s luxury retail arm, MG SELECT. If you’ve been eyeing MG’s flagship EVs and want something a little rarer, this launch is worth your attention.
Pricing and Availability
The MG M9 Couture Edition is priced at Rs 84.94 lakh, while the MG Cyberster Couture Edition is priced at Rs 87.49 lakh, ex-showroom. Both variants sit roughly Rs 5 lakh above their standard counterparts, a premium justified by the exclusivity baked into these editions. Bookings opened through MG SELECT dealerships and the company’s official website, with deliveries expected to begin around August 10, 2026. Buyers should note that only 50 units of each model will be produced, making these among the rarest cars in MG’s Indian lineup.
A Runway-to-Road Collaboration
What sets the Couture Editions apart isn’t mechanical upgrades but design. MG partnered with celebrated Indian fashion designer Gaurav Gupta to bring his signature “Serpent Infinity” motif to life across both vehicles. The idea was first teased earlier this year at the opening of Gupta’s menswear flagship in New Delhi, where a customised Cyberster gave enthusiasts a glimpse of what a fashion-meets-automotive partnership could look like. The concept fully materialised when MG served as the official automobile partner for Gupta’s “Light Song” couture showcase in Mumbai in mid-July.
Both cars wear a white base finish, with the Cyberster receiving striking orange accent streaks, gold-finished badges, and embroidered detailing on its tonneau cover. The M9, by contrast, takes a more understated approach with charcoal graphics and decorative brooch-style elements around the MG logo.
Performance Stays the Same
Since these are styling-focused special editions, the underlying hardware hasn’t changed. The Cyberster continues with its 77kWh battery and dual-motor AWD setup, producing 510PS and 725Nm, enough for a 0-100kmph sprint in just 3.2 seconds and a claimed range of 580km. The M9, meanwhile, uses a 90kWh battery paired with a single front-mounted motor, delivering 245PS and 350Nm, along with a claimed range of 548km.

These Couture Editions aren’t meant for everyone; they’re built for buyers who want exclusivity and a genuine design story behind their purchase. With only 50 units of each model available across MG SELECT’s 14 experience centres nationwide, interested buyers shouldn’t wait too long to reserve theirs.
